Firefox 3.5 launched yesterday, the 30th June 2009, already knows a real success with more of 3 millions uploads and one million just for the North American Continent. Firefox is the world’s second browser used, usable in 70 languages. The last updating was just one year old, nevertheless its new features offer a real improvement. An other goal was to give more quickness and security. Firefox 3.5 is twice as quick as Firefox 3 and ten as Firefox 2. So what’s the key of such promising beginning?
The first interesting feature is the use of a very performing browser Javascript Tracemonkey which is rapidest and should minimize the web display time.
Firefox 3 proposes private web navigation. In one click, you can prevent Firefox to create a history. It could be useful if you use a computer of third party and you want to preserve its own history. You can choose some sites that must not be save in your history. This feature, already existing, is more efficient with Firefox 3.5.
In the same idea to personalize web searching of each user, Firefox 3.5, in collaboration with Google, developed a geolocalization option. The browser localizes your computer thanks to your IP, and gives you some localized results. Very useful if you are searching a food restaurant!
With this updating you have access to better videos performances thanks to HTML 5. You can open video in different formats without others manipulations.
These main features are completed by others less significantly but helpful like the capacity to reopen tabs closed inadvertently, open a new window from a tab or restored all your windows if Firefox encounters bugs.
All play a part in the increasing of Firefox users. May be the fox will succeed in finishing its round-the-world trip!
The latest beta version of Firefox 3.5 is available in 70 different languages. The main highlights of the new release are improved privacy controls, support for native JASON and web worker threads, support for new web technologies like HTML 5, and Geolocation features. Also the Firefox team has fine-tuned its TraceMonkey JavaScript engine which now runs a bit faster.
Geolocation lets websites know where you are in order to bring you more relevant information or to save you time while searching. It’s about making the Web smarter, more intuitive and easier to use. It also offers a Private Browsing mode which will allow you to browse the web without leaving any traces of your activity behind on your computer.
Be aware, that a lot of plugins and extensions like Greasemonkey will not work in beta 4 yet.
Mozilla has released its latest version Firefox 3.1 beta 2 with the private browsing feature as in the Google chrome. Once the private browsing option in toolbar is selected, the system will not store any history, users can easily change into normal mode by clicking the private browsing option again. According to Mozilla, this is not the final tester update, expect one more beta version.

The new version of Opera is enriched with many features; an improved user interface design, customizable speed dial, web integration, Opera Turbo, built-in spell-checker and many more; you can find them at the Opera page.
